FireSafe Corona committed to creating communities that are informed, prepared, fire-adapted, resilient, and capable of withstanding major wildfire.

Our Board of Committed Residents

Major Dhillon-President

Major Dhillion has been a Corona resident for 40 years. Dr. Dhillion received his doctorate in 1980 from the University of California Riverside and worked as a District Manager of a public health agency for over 28 years. In addition, he also served on many international, national, state, and scientific associations, as well as the World Health Organization as a consultant with several countries on vector control issues.

As a resident of Corona since 1981, I volunteered for this Board to give back to my community and my city where I raised my family. I have witnessed the city’s exponential growth. Having served as a member of a Joint Powers Agency for many years, I have a strong insight into risk management, which I can now utilize to protect Corona residents from the associated risks of fire. I am proud to be a resident of the great City of Corona.

Marc Stallings-Vice President

Marc has been a Corona resident for 14 years and is retired as an Aerospace Engineer. Marc graciously

I volunteered to be a Fire Safe Council board member to raise community awareness of fire prevention and reduction. Education and involvement with Corona residents in fire management will hopefully reduce the devastating effects of our next inevitable wildfire. If we all do our small part, think of the possibilities!

Shirley Towler-Treasurer

Shirley is a resident of Corona for 35 years. She is a Library Board of Trustees for the City of Corona and Retired Vice President Senior Trust Officer.

I volunteered to be a board member of the Fire Safe Council to serve and also learn ways in which to prepare and prevent some of the catastrophic destruction that fires can do to our city. By taking precautionary measures before a major fire we can hopefully minimize our damages.”

Sharon Llewellyn-Secretary

Sharon has been a Corona resident for 26 years. She is the Director of Risk Consulting Services for Employee Health and Safety. Sharon

I volunteered to be on the FireSafe Council in order to give back to my community. Having been in the field of occupational safety and health for over 30 years, I understand the need to complete risk assessments, identify gaps that can lead to injuries, illnesses and/or incidents, and determine risk controls needed to prevent loss. This background is a natural fit towards helping residents reduce the risk of loss due to wildfires.”
